Autumn is the best season for reading books.

Our predecessors often told me that autumn is the best season to read books.

It makes sense that fall is the season for reading because of my mood and the weather, but in recent years I've been away from reading because it's so easy to find information on the internet and my eyesight has deteriorated. You can get a lot of superficial knowledge from the internet. And it's free. However, after using the book summary channel on YouTube, I started to feel that this was not good enough. I have no intention of criticizing that project, nor do I think it's incorrect information. I'm actually glad it's convenient. What I felt in such an environment was that I was worried that something might be too convenient, and people would think they understood it, but they wouldn't chew it over or stop, and it wouldn't leave a lasting impression. As the guy on YouTube (probably an AI voice) says, if you're interested, you should read it yourself. That's certainly true. As we move into the age of AI, it seems like the brains that no longer think will become more and more rotten.

So I decided to start reading. Let's start with Western books that are worth reading. A clip-on reading light that I bought on Amazon for just over 1,000 yen is a great ally. I decided to read three books that seemed to have a bit of crossover in parallel so I wouldn't get stuck. The idea is that if you read a little bit at a time each day, you will exercise your mind, and you will never become captivated by the author and lose your sense of balance. This time, I chose "The Science of Diversity," "The Complete History of Sapiens," and "Bullshit Job." With the theme of "human beings," we hope that you will gain insights from various perspectives such as history, geography, ethnicity, psychology, and organizational theory.I'll talk about my feelings after reading it and the merits and demerits of parallel reading next time.
