stationeries in present and shredder

When I was young when I was working for a company, my direct boss who came to work at that time was a completely different person, and I spent several days sorting out the stationery around me. It is stationery, not documents or materials delivered from the source. According to him, he reasoned that it was important to keep his surroundings tidy in order to do a good job. I see, but there were almost no documents or files on his desk, only stationery and sweets. It was a time when there were no Internet, personal computers, or word processors. He felt uneasy about whether he would be able to do the job, but as expected, he left for another department in a short period of time with a suitable performance.
More than 30 years later, he suddenly remembered that. That person may have been a god. But he was born a little too early.
Now, in my study and office, there are only two MACs, an iPhone, and a few pens. Modern stationery is extremely excellent and can be exchanged with almost all over the world. The only troublesome thing is dealing with the Japanese government office. This is still paper hell. That said, we will eventually go paperless.
In this transitional period, I would like to make a proposal. Utilize shredders. Be sure to use it individually.
In fact, many people struggle with handling paper. I myself am proud to say that I am a paperless consultant, but before starting the project, I would like to propose an attempt to reduce the amount of paper around us by distributing shredders to all employees. The purpose is to change consciousness. Shred what you don't need. If you repeat the act and task every day, the surroundings will always be clean. Since it is processed in real time, the judgment is also accurate. Sometimes I wonder if I should throw it away, but I take the plunge and shred it. If you are new to this approach and are unsure about shredding, simply throw the documents you are unsure about in the bucket. After a year, you can shred it. There should be no problem. You should find out later that most of the paper that was carefully stored is unnecessary.
The important point is to shred every day. After a week or a month, judgment becomes dull. At first you can secure a space and cut off unnecessary information. If you would be able to set up a shredder in your brain, you will improve your sensitivity to information and help your mental health.
